Etz Chayim Neshama Women's Retreat
Return, Release, Renewal
Preparing Ourselves for a New Year
with Rabbi Laura Rumpf

August 26-28, 2022
Jesuit Retreat Center, Los Altos

You'll have the opportunity to meet new women and spend time with friends;
to sing and pray; to study and learn; to laugh and dance.
There is time for quiet and time to leisurely sit and chat.

We are returning to the Jesuit Retreat Center on 38 acres in Los Altos.  The center has walking trails and a labyrinth.  Each sleeping room has its own bathrooms. All participants must be fully vaccinated and boosted against Covid-19. All staff members at JRC are fully vaccinated.

Our scholar-in-residence, Rabbi Laura Rumpf, grew up in San Francisco and Seattle, and went to Stanford University before leaping to Rabbinical School at Hebrew Union College.  She is the Director of Project Kavod/Dignity for Seattle Jewish Family Services, a role that integrates spiritual mentorship and mental health support for diverse populations. She delights in the diversity of settings she’s been able to serve as a rabbi, from a playful summer camp in the Yosemite Redwoods to a large Reform congregation, spearheading teen engagement, creative arts and social justice efforts. She is a Creative Facilitator in Training with the Jewish Studio project, a lover of dance and poetry, and a fan of nature walks with her son (Ami) and dog (Bilbo).
