The Bureau of Special Education and PaTTAN are pleased to offer a limited number of parent scholarships to Pennsylvania residents who have school-age children with a current IEP.
Those employed by any of the following: school, district, charter school, IU, PTI, CPRC, or other federally-funded educational or advocacy organization are not eligible and should seek funding through their employer/organization.
What the Scholarship Covers
The scholarship covers the cost of the conference registration. For those traveling 50 miles or more, it may cover the cost of lodging. Please note the scholarships do not include travel expenses; all participants will need to provide their own transportation.
Application Process and Deadline
To be considered for a scholarship, we must receive your application by February 1, 2020. Preference will be given to first-time applicants. You will be notified of the decision on your scholarship by February 14, 2020. You may use this scholarship form to apply for yourself and one additional individual (e.g. spouse, adult family member) who will be registering for the conference with you. Conference registration and session attendance is required by all applicants to participate in conference amenities. Childcare will not be provided.

To be considered for scholarship, you must register for the PDE Conference and sign up for sessions. Register for sessions early, as some sessions close when they reach capacity. If you are not selected for a scholarship, you can cancel your registration or self-pay.
