Class Registration

We are excited to have you join us for one of our classes!
 
In order to secure a seat for one of our classes, you must enroll using the form below.  You can print this form and pay in person at FRAA (120 Maple Street, Florence) or you can complete the form online and pay via PayPal or Credit Card (processed by PayPal).   For each course, full payment is due at the time of registration to guarantee your seat. You are not considered to be enrolled until full payment is received.
Basic Drawing - Graphite with Peggy Ross, 5-class Series, Wednesdays, August 28 and September 4, 11, 18 and 25, 12:00-2:00 pm.  Start learning the drawing skills you've always wanted in this beginner friendly class. Learn about the simple tools of graphite (pencil) drawing.  Practice using line, shape, value and texture to represent the world around you and boost creative thinking. 

$155 per student for FRAA member ($175 for non-FRAA member).  Supply list provided upon registration.
Continuing Frame Loom Weaving with Peggy Ross, 5 class series, Thursdays, September 5, 12, 26 and October 3 and 10, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm.  Grow your weaving skills, get support in expressing your design vision and share camaraderie with otherweavers. Expand your skill with pictorial weaving and textured textiles. Techniques covered include: curves, wedge weave, open work, patterning, soumak & twining variations, and blocking and finishing.  Students must have taken Beginning Frame Loom Weaving or have permission from instructor.

$155 per student for FRAA member ($175 for non-FRAA member).  There is a material fee of $35 for warp and weft yarn and handouts.  Bring frame loom, shuttles, shed stick, packing strips and scissors.  
Beginners Traditional Stained Glass Class - Lead Technique 3 class series Class 1: Thursdays, September 12 & 26 and October 3, 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm.  Students of all levels accepted.  Limit of 5 per class.
Learn the fundamentals of creating a stained glass piece. The focus will be on learning how to use the tools for stained glass, setting your board up, color theory, and composition. You will gain skills in cutting glass, grinding edges of glass, fitting glass in lead, how to cut the lead, and solder it together. You will be only working with straight edges. The stained glass finish product will be no bigger than 14 inches tall by 6 inches wide.

All tools and lead, zinc cane, solder, and assortment of Stain Glass will be supplied. 
NOTE: If you want special colors you will have to bring your own glass.

$165 per student for FRAA member ($180  for non FRAA member).

Transparent Watercolor - Save the White! with ELee Hadley, 4 class series, Mondays, September 30, October 21, November 4 and 18, 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm. Explore leaving paper white using wax resist, salt, removable Miskit, cutting silhouettes, and just plain keeping color from running into the white.

$140 per student for FRAA member ($160 for non-FRAA member).  

Beginners to experienced welcome. 
Beginning Watercolor with Peggy Ross, 6 class series, Wednesdays, October 9, 16, 23, 30 and November 6 and 13, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. This class teaches the fundamentals of transparent watercolor painting, from pigments to paper to paintbrushes. Explore color theory, washes, resists, masks, crackles & blooms. Class sessions include skill building exercises, guided paintings and serendipitous discovery. instructor.

$175 per student for FRAA member ($195 for non-FRAA member).  There is a material fee of $10 for basic paints, misc tools use and instructional handouts.  Supply list provided upon registration. Expect to purchase specified brushes, paper and palette.

Policies:
* Registration fee is paid at time of registration.
* FRAA occasionally takes photos of classes, students, and artwork for promotional purposes in newspapers, flyers, and social media.  Please inform us if this is not acceptable to you.
* Registration can be made online through Paypal (you can pay with Credit Card or Paypal) or in person at FRAA.
Cancellation Policy:
No refund will be given for class no‐shows.  Cancellations made less than one (1) week prior to the start of class will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Each instructor decides the minimum number of students required to teach but it is often 3 or 4. Fees are 100% refundable if FRAA cancels due to insufficient registration.
 
If a class is cancelled due to insufficient registration, an alternative class will be offered if/when possible, and/or a refund will be made.  If using Paypal, refund will be made through Paypal.  All other refunds will be made via Check.  
Waiver and Release of Liability:
I agree that I will not hold Florence Regional Arts Alliance (FRAA), and its officers, directors, volunteers and successors liable for any personal injury, property damage or loss of insurance. I agree to release and hold harmless FRAA from all liability incurred as a result of my participation in any class or open studio at FRAA and that these terms serve as a release for me.
