Tourism Wells Gray Visitor Information Centre - Request for Proposal

Tourism Wells Gray is a not for profit organisation that is funded to operate the Visitor Information Centre in Clearwater, BC. As part of the service, there are currently two private businesses that operate within the building to offer tourist related services. Tourism Wells Gray is seeking to expand the opportunities on offer to the public and add food truck space on the grounds of the Visitor Centre. 

 

This proposal is for the 2024 season which runs from April 29 until October 6th, 2024

The current food trucks offer:

1. Vegan food

 

 

Electricity and water hookups are not available and food trucks must be capable of running off their own independant power source (Eg. a generator).

Tourism Wells Gray is fully covered for public liability on the premises. Insurance does not cover any food/beverages belonging to the food trucks and sold to tourists that takes place outside of the Visitor Information Centre. Food trucks must have food safe certified work space.

Theft or other damage to goods is at the risk of the business owner.

The successful business will 

- have a Canadian business number

- offer a service that is aligned with Tourism Wells Gray's strategic plan

- offer a service that complements and not conflicts with, the existing businesses

- be able to operate within the same operating hours as the Visitor Information Centre and be open 

   from April 29 - Oct 2024.

- In 500 words or less, describe the type of business you would like to operate in this space with information about what you propose to sell. (Remember your offer cannot replicate either of the existing business' products).

 

$250/month, payable on the last day of each month to Tourism Wells Gray via cheque or e-transfer
