Event Information

Miletta Vista Winery will be hosting our 2nd Annual Adventure Run. This is a challenging course that will take you up and down large hills, through some ravines, and of course through the vineyard. It is absolutely like no other run in the area. There will be rough terrain so we encourage everyone to be very careful while participating.

After the run you will be able to enjoy a glass of sangria made fresh at the winery. We will also have lunch options available to purchase for those who would like to stay and enjoy a little relaxing time after the race.

Courses

(You can run or walk either course.)

Long Course - It will not be exactly 5K but it will be close. As the bird flys it will be about 2.7 miles, but of course we have hills and valleys you will get to run up and down. We will have at least one obstacle you can participate in or bypass.

Short Course - This course will be close to 1.5 miles. It will follow some of the hill tops and across one of our dams.

If the event is canceled due to severe/dangerous inclement weather there will be no refund or make-up date. You will be able to pick up your race items at the winery. **Please also note that no shirt is guaranteed for entries received after April 1st.**

Charity Partner

We have partnered with the National Fallen Firefighers Foundation's Local Assistance State team - Nebraska Serious Injury and Line of Duty Death Response Team.

When a line of duty death occurs, and on request of the agency sustaining the loss, the team is deployed immediately. The team serves in a behind the scene capacity and offers suggestions based on what the departments needs are, as well as, the needs of the firefighter family. The Response team stays in place at the agency, sometimes for several days, usually until the funeral services are completed. The duties of the team do not end there, they provide information to the department on an as needed basis to assist the family and department beyond the funeral services.

Regulations

1. Participants must be 21 or older. No exceptions.

2. Every participant must present valid photo id at check in.

3. No iPods/MP3 players, headsets or other devices that impair participant's awareness of surroundings allowed.

4. No wheels of any kind allowed on course (bikes, strollers, e.g.).

5. No pets allowed.

6. Only participants are allowed on the course. Due to terrain, strollers and children are not allowed.

Waiver & Release

I understand that walking, running or volunteering to work in the Miletta Vista Adventure Run event is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter, walk, run, or work in this event unless I am medically able and properly prepared and/or trained. I agree to abide by any decision of the Miletta Vista Adventure Run events officials relative to my ability to safely complete or assist in this organization’s event activities. I assume all risks associated with walking, running or volunteering to work the Miletta Vista Adventure Run event including, but not limited to – falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather, including high heat and/or humidity, the conditions of the running surface and traffic on the race course. All such risks being known and/or appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry for racing or volunteering, I, for myself and for anyone entitled to act on my behalf waive and release Miletta Vista Adventure Run/Miletta Vista Winery and all sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims and liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this activity, even though this liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of persons named in this waiver. In addition, I grant permission to all of the forgoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of my participation in this event for any legitimate purpose.
