There are many ways to be involved in this production! We need numerous parent volunteers in a variety of areas, including costumes, ushers, hospitality, luncheon, tickets, chaperones, and show party. It is expected that each family sign up for at least one committee and that parents commit to at least two chaperone shifts throughout tech week and show days. CONTRACT AGREEMENT

All Band, Cast, & Crew members are expected to follow all AACPS rules concerning the use of alcohol and drugs, eligibility and attendance and are subject to AACPS discipline for failure to adhere to AACPS policy.

The Board of Education has an eligibility code in place that states:  To be eligible to participate in interscholastic athletics or extracurricular activities, grades 9 through 12, a student must maintain a “C” average (2.0 grade point average or greater) as determined by existing county grading procedures in all courses taken in a given eligibility period (marking period). A student may earn a maximum of one “E” grade in courses taken during that eligibility period. A student on a partial schedule (seven or fewer classes) must maintain a “C” (2.0) average in all courses attempted. Any student who is ineligible at that time will not be eligible to perform in the show.

Students performing in Rock ‘n’ Roll Revival are governed by their GPA for the second (February) report card. Any student who is ineligible at that time will not be eligible to perform in Rock ‘n’ Roll Revival.

YES! I have read the attached information and I understand what is expected of me including my obligation to abide by AACPS policy on alcohol and drug use, attendance and eligibility. I also understand the consequences of non-compliance. I understand that if I am deemed “ineligible” by existing county grading procedures in all courses taken during the second marking period, I will be academically ineligible to perform in RnR XXXIII. I also understand that the sponsors of RnR XXXIII will replace me with a student who meets the eligibility code. I further understand that any monies that I have spent for tickets, cast fees or other expenses will not be refunded to me or my family.

https://www.aacps.org/coronavirus

I have read and fully agreee to cooperate with all guidelines provided by AACPS regarding Covid-19

I fully understand that AACPS attendance rules state that a cast member must be present all day in school to come to a practice and must be present an entire day for a performance, no late arrivals or early dismissals. The only exception is a  doctor's note or a school-sponsored field trip.

Band, Cast, & Crew member also agrees to:

  • Attend all practices on time and stay until the practice is over;  do not leave any rehearsal unless you are dismissed by a music director, Atticus, or Ms. G. If you miss a rehearsal without informing Ms. Germanos in writing at agermanos@aacps.org ahead of time, you are OUT of that number. No exceptions.
  • Be aware that you may be called in for more rehearsals than you are currently scheduled for now. Keep communication with directors open when/if these changes are made and you are unable to attend.
  • Bring pencils, water (not in the auditorium), and phones to rehearsals to record your music/back-up moves.
  • Be responsible for own transportation to rehearsals and shows.
  • Arrive 10 minutes early for dance rehearsals (No earlier than 15 minutes) to stretch/warmup BEFORE rehearsal.
  • Listen to your part recordings and your songs outside of rehearsals; there will be part checks/tests every two weeks at Sunday rehearsals. Watch/review/practice your dances at home.
  • Study your artist and watch the reference videos that Atticus provides.
  • Know that no “diva complexes” will be tolerated. If you don’t want your solo/group lead/duet/backup A or B/dance, it will be given to someone who does.
  • Follow all AACPS rules concerning the use of alcohol and drugs; you are subject to AACPS discipline for failure to adhere to AACPS policy.
  • Make no drastic changes to appearances i.e., haircuts/color without asking Ms. G or Atticus first.
  • Follow dressing room/quick change rules, dress appropriately, including wearing shoes at all times during  rehearsals & shows.
  • Listen to the director, student leaders and adult volunteers and obey directions.
  • Keep a positive attitude and come to the director or student leaders if there are any problems
  • Maintain a 2.0 GPA throughout the show’s run – failure to do this will result in ineligibility for participation
