Absentee Compliance Survey

Information on this form is required pursuant to portions of VA Code § 24.2-612 and VA Admin Code 1VAC20-70-90, specifically:
 
The general registrar shall make printed ballots available for absentee voting not later than 45 days prior to any election or within three business days of the receipt of a properly completed absentee ballot application, whichever is later.
[...] Each general registrar shall report to the Department of Elections, in writing on a form approved by the Department of Elections, whether he has complied with the applicable deadline.
 
B. To ensure the secure and timely delivery of voter information to third parties, general registrars must comply with the following:
7. Upon forming a contract with a third party for the purpose of this section, the general registrar will provide the Department of Elections with a copy of the signed contract.
 
Do not complete this survey until after close of business. If your office will be open on Saturday, or if you will be working on Saturday to complete the initial absentee mailing, do not complete the survey until after close of business on that date.
